
Five of Me
This is a remake of this photo. I had the fifth image but forgot to include it. Technically the photo is rubbish. The lighting is awful and the wide angle has distorted the edges of the frame.
I used the technique here, but used layer masks rather than the eraser. Layer masks give you scope to “undo” your changes without having to undo changes that you want to keep, so they’re far superior for processes like this.

There are many cloned images where the same person appears several times in the frame, but few of them involve the person interacting with themselves – they’re mostly just the same person in different, sometimes overlapping, poses. They’re a bit boring. (more…)

I made some of these for the bride & groom to give away as gifts. I couldn’t find a company that would print them in small quantities, so I made the template, set up the calendar and had them printed as 7×5s. I had to crop the prints to fit, but the end result is brilliant.
The cases work out at abut £0.65 each, and the 13 prints (twelve months plus the front) came in at £3.10. Ten minutes with a steel rule and a Stanley knife later …
